Dr Adila Mahmood
I am a qualified counselling psychologist with experience of working in the NHS for over 10 years. I have experience of working with neurodiverse and neurotypical children and adolescents who present with various mental health difficulties offering specialist assessments and therapeutic support. My NHS experience includes working with families, offering parenting support and liaison with schools where necessary to support a young persons needs.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) including trauma focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Narrative Therapy. I also offer cognitive analytic (CAT) informed therapy.
I enjoy working using an integrative approach to therapy as I feel this enables me to tailor therapy to young people’s individual needs.
I am fully registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the governing body for Counselling Psychologists in the UK. My registration number is PYL37256.
